| - time for ucla basketball to start! get used to these names: malcolm lee, jerime anderson, tyler honeycutt, reeves nelson, mike moser. it will be a difficult year, but a fun one to see how much our young team grows under mr. howland himself. like other colleges in los angeles and up in the bay, we don't bail on our team when they go through some adversity. should be fun! - looking forward to the end of the football season! we've got two HUGE games for our program. while our season has been less than stellar from an overall perspective, we got things rolling a bit now, and like other colleges in los angeles and up in the bay, we don't bail on our team when they go through some adversity. should be fun! - currently writing an exegesis of Revelation 5 when John sees a vision of a seal and a scroll and is initially distraught when no one is worthy to open them. but after the Lamb, looking as if it has been slain comes, opens the scroll and breaks the seal, all creation responds in all-out worship. it's a great reminder and a great way to transition into the new year...with all-out worship! - with that being said, starting in the new year, i'll be switching from the college pastor to the worship pastor position at The Vine. worship team has a lot of emotional baggage with it for me, but i'm excited nonetheless. this is why i wholeheartedly believe that studying Revelation 5 at this moment was the perfect assignment for me to complete right now, to be reminded of how worthy God is of worship! - with that being said, i will miss friday nights (i'll still be there for awhile though) with The Vine College Group. every single one of them is an amazingly intelligent, caring and loving individual, and i will miss the friday nights dearly! - i'm preaching on Mark 4:35-41 this thursday and i'm excited about it. it's amazing how the disciples refer to Jesus as "teacher" during the time of the storm. at this point they weren't exactly sure who or what Jesus was... and i wonder how many of us wonder the same thing... - completely loving this cold weather! - i'm proud of the work i've done for school over the past three weeks or so...after the fall break for Torrey Conference/epic trip to Arizona, i've been able to buckle down and get a lot done...grind it out. grind it out. - on that note, the effect is that my golf game has gone to shambles...hopefully i can get it back somehow...but not until thanksgiving weekend! -whew! a lot going on!

| after a good lunch with the pastors from church, food coma has settled in and Jay Yoon is out cold here in the basement of Biola University's beautiful but freezing library.
he has been out for a good ten minutes. anyone got any bets on how much longer he sleeps? the sad thing is, if i was a betting man, i would bet that he wakes up and sees this before anyone can even put in their 2 cents...sad reality of xanga...

| one of the best things about preaching from the Old Testament is knowing that you can go into the commentaries section of the library and find every single commentary youre looking for when every single New Testament commentary has been missing from the shelf for half the semester...
